The 6th CNAG Symposium on Genome Research will present the current state of agrigenomics research carried out in collaboration with CNAG

Auditori Antoni Caparrós - PCB

23rd March 2017

The Earth's human population is rapidly growing and the demand for vegetable and livestock production is increasing at the same rate. To overcome this situation a broad range of improvements in the global food supply chain is needed.

The CNAG takes part in genome sequencing and analysis projects that aim to improve species of agricultural interest. Agrigenomics -or the application of genomics in agriculture- is a key tool to easily identify targets for selective breeding programs to increase yield, facilitate drought tolerance, or select a variety of desirable traits.

The 6th CNAG Symposium on Genome Research will present the current state of agrigenomics research carried out in collaboration with CNAG. The invited speakers will share latest findings and ideas.
